SP Digital
SP Digital is a database system designed to allow users to record and submit their Supporting People data electronically. Developed by the CHR, it is now in its sixth year and is used by hundreds of Supporting People participants. SP Digital is easy to use and entirely menu driven, with all features available from a few clicks on the menu options. The system is based on MS Access 2000 and can be used with all versions of MS Windows. It is available free of charge to everyone who submits Supporting People data and can also be networked so that multiple users have access to the system.
SP Digital and CORE Digital (version 10) are available only as a combined product (CORE - General Needs, Supported, & Sales; SP - Client Records & Outcomes), but with a new switchboard as the initial screen. To request a copy of the Core/SP Digital v10 disc, send an e-mail to sphelp@st-andrews.ac.uk

Electronic Data Transfer (EDT) Specifications
EDT is a method of electronic data submission used by some providers through their commercial database software, and occasionally by organisations who have developed their own bespoke systems. It is not a software system in itself (as SP Digital is), but instead is a standard format that we can accept Supporting People data in. The format for each form is detailed in a specification document (available below) which is updated annually to reflect any changes in the forms.
Accompanying this EDT specification is an Excel Workbook containing each look-up table used within the corresponding form. Each look-up table contains the form code number if appropriate and its associated description. This allows software developers to check that their EDT system look-up tables correspond with the forms.
